Jamie Woolsey, Attorney

Jamie is a member of Sandefer & Woolsey and practices in the area of criminal defense, plaintiffs' personal injury, and family law. She is admitted to practice before all of Wyoming's state courts, the Federal District Courts of Wyoming, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.  She is also licensed in the State of California.

 

Jamie has tried cases in both state and federal court.  She has successfully litigated thousands of criminal cases over her career, ranging from white collar crimes, sex crimes, driving while under the influence cases, burglary, theft, and homicide.     

Jamie received her Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a Specialization in Business Administration in 1999 from the University of California, Los Angeles.  After completing her Bachelor's degree, Jamie attended law school at Villanova University, School of Law, where she graduated in 2003.  Jamie is a 2011 graduate of the Gerry Spence Trial Lawyer's College.

Ian Sandefer is a native of Casper, Wyoming and is a member of Sandefer & Woolsey. Ian is an experienced trial attorney and practices primarily in the areas of plaintiffs' personal injury and criminal defense.  

Ian is admitted to practice before all of Wyoming's state courts, the Federal District Courts of Wyoming, and the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ian is also admitted to practice in the State of California. Additionally, Ian has been admitted to practice in individual cases, or pro hac vice, in Utah, Montana, Nebraska, and Rhode Island.  

 

Over the years, Ian has received numerous awards and recognition for his legal accomplishments. More than a decade ago, in 2012, Ian was selected as one of the top 40 trial lawyers under the age of 40 in the State of Wyoming by the National Trial Lawyers. He has been selected to be on the Mountain States Super Lawyers list, a distinction that only the top 5% of attorneys in Mountain States receive.  

 

Ian has tried cases in both state and federal court. He has successfully handled many personal injury cases, some of which have resulted in million-dollar and multimillion-dollar recoveries for injured clients. Ian has represented clients who have been permanently injured because of someone else's negligence, as well as families whose loved ones have been killed because of the misconduct of others.  Ian is a staunch advocate of the right to a trial by jury, as guaranteed by the Seventh Amendment to the United States Constitution.

With regard to criminal defense, Ian has successfully represented clients accused of pretty much every crime imaginable, ranging from homicide, to sexual assault and sexual abuse, to drug possession, manufacture and trafficking, to fraud, to aggravated vehicular homicide, to assault, to driving while under the influence (DUI). Ian proudly protects his clients’ constitutional rights when the government accuses them of committing a crime.    

 

Ian received an Associates of Arts degree in General Studies in 1999 from Casper College, a Bachelor’s Degree in History in 2003 from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a juris doctorate in 2007 from the University of California, Berkeley. Ian sits on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Wyoming and Renewed Hope Foundation.
